Description

This  is a basic reference book for the Egoscue method of physical therapy, used by the Egoscue physical therapists for maintenance and recovery of joint related pain due to  body imbalance and injury.

The book is filled with E-cises (exercises) that help you overcome chronic pain in your  joints, attempting to re-balance your left and right side of your body, much like the re-alignment of the tires on your car.

Chapters in the book provide e-cises for feet, ankles, knees, hips, backs, shoulders, elbows/wrists/hands, the neck, and the head.

The book, is similar to the Tom Brady TB12  maintaining peak performance book, it talks about how to maintain your pliability/mobility and reduce chronic joint pain from injuries, through specific exercises.  But it provides more exercises and most importantly  most all of these exercises require no special equipment, but yourself and perhaps a wall ,  chair or box.

This book is great for when competitors are traveling and can't take any mobility equipment with them.  From these exercises, one can create a set of wake-up and bedtime stretches that will keep your body's left and right side in equal balance and joints pain free.  (Especially after sleeping on a sagging hotel bed. )   You might want to order the Kindle/digital version for  easy access from your phone or tablet,  while traveling.

I feel this is the grandfather book for pliability & mobility maintenance, having been written in 1980, the principals set forth, are what many of the other books have based their methodologies on.  A good edition to the competitive dancer's library.

The book is available on Amazon and other on-line book stores.
