The TB12 Method – by Tom Brady
Description
Here is a book by Tom Brady which describes Tom's method of maintaining Peak Performance, even as we age. It describes at a high level: pliability/mobility techniques for muscles using various massage-like techniques, as well as using vibrating rollers and balls, strength building exercises using bands, and some nutrition tips.
In my opinion it's a good starter book, introducing the importance of understanding your body mechanics and muscle pliability/mobility and nutrition, but there are other books that I would get afterward, that will go deeper into the topics.
The basic point the author makes, is that as you grow older, muscle pliability is your most important concern for achieving and maintaining peak performance. He shows how your pliability dramatically decreases with age, after your 20's. (See graph below)
If you've read this book, I would be interested in your comments regarding the usefulness of this book with respect to maintaining one's peak performance in competitive dancing.
