Intent

An aspect of Emotional Characterization, Intent is with respect to the “story” the couple is telling while using Focus and Dynamics.
For American Smooth:
Waltz is sometimes described regarding the emotions of the story of a “Kiss” between the couple. They could be describing the feelings surrounding the first time, a forbidden one, surrendering, or a lost or failed attempt of a kiss.
Tango is a “sexy” dance and can describe a seduction, taunting, lust, or betrayal, among others.
Foxtrot could describe a “date” between the couple: their first one, a club environment, classic , Paparazzi (flashy).
Viennese Waltz brings about thoughts of a “wedding”: Royal, Ethereal, Vegas, or Runaway Bride type emotions.
